Change Your Sheets: Change your Life!
This post is written in partnership with the fine folks at Ghost Bed. I received a set of sheets in exchange for my honest review. As always, the opinions included are my own, and I stand behind them.
To say the least, this year has been a whirlwind. This spring we decided to move to Las Vegas. We packed up the place in Chicago, found renters, moved to Vegas, unpacked, started househunting, bought a place, packed the apartment, moved in the week of Thanksgiving, unpacked AGAIN, hosted turkey day, had Hannukkah and Christmas, AND hosted Penny’s birthday on the 27th. I’m exhausted just thinking about it.
In all of this hubbub, there was definitely goals that got set aside – hello blogging – but we are finally in a spot that I have time again. And I’m grateful. Grateful for this fantastic desert weather, grateful for our adorable little house (more info to come later), and grateful for the chance to refocus and prioritize the things I care about. Which brings me to this post: NEW BEDROOM!
Now, we don’t have any art up just yet, but I’m so excited for the chance to give our bedroom the much-needed attention it deserves. We hadn’t changed anything in our bedroom since our wedding in 2011. I’m not afraid to admit that the sheets we were using had long outlived their lifespan. Justin even put his foot through a set by accident one night…. yeah… it was time.
Justin had read somewhere that to make a house feel larger, you carry the color palette throughout the whole thing. I knew with the new place that I wanted a vibrant teal, and we upgraded our previous Sherwin Williams (a more muted, and vintage-feeling teal) to SW Calypso so both the master bedroom and living room have an accent wall in this color. And the entire house has accents in gold/yellow and blush pink. We are still coordinating/upgrading and putting in finishing touches, but I HAVE to share my favorite bedroom find yet: Ghost Bed Sheets!
I am in LOVE with these sheets for a few reasons:
- They’re ridiculously soft.
- They have an amazing luster to them, and look amazing.
- The “Ghost Grip” makes putting the fitted sheet on the bed SO easy with no slipping.
- They’re designed to work specifically with Ghost Bed’s awesome mattresses, but will work with ANY mattress.
They’re SO soft!
Ghost Bed Sheets are luxury feel that makes them perfect for midday hangouts, or storytime, and – of course – restful sleeping. The sheets are made out of a blend of Supima Cotton and Tencel Fiber and come with a three-year warranty. So the quality is not just for “show;” they stand by their product.
The sheets come in an option for both white or grey, and because we have a toddler (and a black dog), I opted for grey, and I love the silver sheen it has. The sheets look amazing, and have a great shine to them, too.
What is Ghost Grip?
You know that teeny-weeny strip of elastic that most fitted sheets have? I hate it. Loathe it. It’s usually way too tight to stretch over those last two corners of the mattress (we have a pretty thick mattress, so your mileage may vary), and it inevitably stretches out and loses its elasticity before too long. Ghost Bed Sheet Sets have this awesome thick elastic band that stretches easily and that – as of yet – hasn’t shown any signs of losing stretch.
I haven’t tried Ghost Bed’s mattresses yet, but I’ve heard good things. I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes open and learning more. Especially since our mattress is older than the sheets we just replaced! So 10/10 I definitely recommend scoring a set of Ghost Bed Sheets. I’ve been eyeing a second pair – even though with my goal of minimalism one queen size set is all we need currently.
Uhm- you have the brightest and happiest master bedroom I’ve ever seen! We are in the process of slowly redesigning our entire home and I am definitely going to check out Ghost Bed for sheets and a new mattress for our own master!! That thick elastic has me sold. I’m like you- I hate the tiny elastic bands that wear our way too fast and make getting the bed made a pain. I cannot wait to check out this brand!
These look awesome! That thick elastic seems like such a good idea. And I love how you’ve decorated P’s room!
I have been looking for new linens for my daughters bed, and mine too I will check them out
Now this is adorable! By the way I love P’s room it’s so bright and happy!
